That's what prayer is. Developing a personal relationship with the Supreme Being.
Conversation.
I speak...He listens. He speaks...I listen.
Sometimes we laugh together.
Sometimes we cry.
Always seeking more of the other.
This is intimacy of the Divine Nature. We come together.
It takes time.
Silence.
Openness to the unexpected.
I remember as a little girl, I had a relationship with Him.
We were friends. In some ways, He was my only friend.
As I grew up, He seemed more like a Parent than a friend. My perspective had changed.
Then my need was for a Savior. Someone to walk through the pain of life with me. Heal the hurts.
Recently, I have discovered the Lover. He meets my desire and takes my breath away.
It's personal. It always has been.
Now it's just more personal than it ever was before.

Contemplating the Holy Spirit as Breath of God
Breathe on me Breath of God...
There's a lot to think about here.
If we aren't breathing, we are dead. A basic action we don't even think about.
Anxiety brings short, rapid breathing. That feeling of never enough air. We are gasping out of despair. Grasping for that next breath.
The breath of rest is peaceful. Long expanded breaths of calm for a weary soul.
I like to feel the rhythm of His breathing. Resting on the Lord's breast. I see myself, like John the Apostle, nestled close to Jesus. Can you feel His Breath on you?
In...
Out...
Peace be with you. My peace I give to you.
Deep, calm, quiet breathing.
Just the two of us, breathing together.
I feel the softest whisper of His Breath on my soul. It cautions me to rest in Him. He will fill my deepest longings with His Breath.
Mold me and make me into the image of Jesus with Your Breath, O God.

He Never Changes
He never changes.
His Love remains the same constant, burning fire.
For me.
For you.
The fire of His Love, that exists for all eternity, is for us the moment we are created and remains the same throughout our life.
We cannot destroy it.
We cannot hide from it.
We cannot add to it.
No matter how far we run. No matter how good we try to be, somehow thinking we can earn His Love. He already loves us more than we could ever fathom.
We just need to surrender.
Every day, every hour, every moment.
Yes.
Yes, Lord, I will do Your will.
Only Your will.
Always, Your will.
His Love remains the same constant, burning fire.
For me.

In the beginning...
Seems most appropriate to start here, at the beginning.
Who am I?
What am I doing here?
God, in His Goodness, knows the answer to all of my questions. He knows me better than I know myself. And that is the point...I need to learn about Him while learning about me. I need to continually fall in love with Him and He will tell me who I am and what I am made for. Or rather Who I am made for.
In silence, that is where I find Him.
He waits for me.
He waits for you.
Who am I?

He waits for me.
He waits for you.
